Circadian Optics's Light Therapy Lamps Are the Key to a Better Night's Sleep

Amber Leong was working at a desk job in the dreary state of Minnesota when she first got the idea for Circadian Optics. After spending cold, dark, and tough winters in the northern state, she knew she needed a different way to cope with her health and wellness levels. She decided to turn to light therapy—specifically, a lamp for her office desk to bring some light into her work days. Unfortunately, all of the ones she found on the market were a total eyesore.

So, Leong decided to create Circadian Optics—a line of beautifully designed bright light therapy lamps that mimic the sun's rays, giving you all the vitamin D you need to live a healthier life, and that look good in your home (or your office desk!).

The science behind the lamps is focused on our Circadian Rhythm, which is also known as our internal body clock, that allows our body to feel sleepy at night and naturally tend to wakeup in the morning, while also triggering important biological processes. It's believed that our near-constant attachment to our phones, laptops, and other screens disrupt our bodies' internal timing, leaving us sluggish and poorly rested. These lamps are designed to help you reset the clock, so to speak.

Each beautifully designed lamp provides the recommended 10,000 LUX brightness for effective light therapy to help stave off the winter blues and fatigue, and all five models—Lumos, Lampu, Lattis, Luxy, and Lumine—were all created with a different function in mind. For example, the Lumine, with its asymmetrical segments and clean lines, was designed to be an accent piece in your space, while the Lumine, with its straight lines and square shape, was meant to work the best in an office space.
